I have two Owls. They are both doing the same thing. I have only used one until last night when my regular one wouldn't work so I wired in my spare it did the same thing. Well, I could get them to work by holding my hand close to the LED's but I didn't have to touch them. It was weird. I would wiggle all the wires looking for a short and suddenly discover that if I passed a hand near the LED's it would work.  Okay, what the heck?

Grime

Mine quit working also. Don't know what the problem is. I have check the wires and everything seems ok. Glad I have a spare.

Are they both the kind that comes on automatically at dark? If so, I bet the sensor has failed.

Mine has the sensor. I had problems with that a few years ago. At that time I could get it replaced. If it had failed in the on position that would have been nice as I could just turn the switch on and off.

No, no sensor.   I alligator clip them straight to the batteries and hoist it up the mast. Has always worked just fine.

Mine is out also.  Wonder what happened to the guys who were remaking them?

CJ said that FranklinBedi would warranty the original Bedi lights. I emailed them today to find out more info. When I hear back I'll pass it on.

Well, that was the claim- here's the paragraph from the website

"We are not sure we can offer the original Bebi "lifetime" warranty, but we know we can offer a 5 year, no questions asked, replacement. If this project is successful we will also offer to replace any original Bebi Owl light bearing the "A Genuine Owl Lignt" logo that fails to operate. This offer is out of respect to the original Bebi Electronics founders and crew. "

Charlie,
I was looking for more information than what their site listed.  :)

More like we will not be excepting them for another year or here is our address ship it right up. I would also like to know when their light will be on the market and price.

I never did hear back from FrankenBebi. Maybe they are out sailing. I've got a link to a look alike that I think I'll order as back up.
