Google is my friend! I found it..may consider it when I run out of the 6 gallons of West I have accumulated, seems it may be real nice to work with when summer hits

Hey- check prices with B and B. Call Carla at 252-745-4793, and tell her Charlie Jones sent you. See what she quotes you.

I will do that for sure. I currently have 3 gallons of West System to use up. The Raka looks like it will be nice to use in the summer to extend the working times.

Thanks all again for suggestions.

I have used over a hundred gallons of Raka with no issues, very little blush if any. I have not used West or any of the big names.

Work continued over Christmas holiday as warm temperatures are still making outside boat epoxy work possible

There may be higher quality epoxies out there, but I have been using the basic stuff from US Composites http://uscomposites.com/epoxy.html and when buying in bulk, it is the best deal I have come across.

CharlieJ

Last 6-7 boats I've built have been using epoxy from B and B Yacht design. Fairly inexpensive, and I would not be surprised if they get it from US Composites- they have 55 gallon drums at the shop.

I'm sure all your work will be worth it in the end.
Also found your you tube channel!
Has the current beam showed any signs of flexing or coming detached or are you, like me, overdoing it a bit just because you can?
I look for subtle places, beaches, riversides and the ocean's lazy tides.
I don't want to be in races, I'm just along for the ride.

It's really great that you're documenting this project.
Your site will, if not already be a good resource for others.
I enjoy seeing the progress you're making.
Thanks!
I'm not happy unless I'm complaining about something.
I'm having a very good day!

It did show some signs of rotten core and deck compression

Im trying...I really think Im over building because I dont understand exactly how strong fiberglass is but thats ok with me. Just want to make sure what I do repair and reinforce is sufficent and never has to be done again!

No problem, and thank you for compliments. I wish I could spend more time making better videos but that will come with time, money and more time :o....still learning.
