Where on Galveston Bay are you? I like anchoring in Offat's Bayou when over that way

We are berthed at Watergate in Clear Lake Shores.  Offats is a favorite of ours as well.  We routinely get to the Gulf side of the San Bernard River, but this is not as attractive after the opening to the Gulf closed.  We will be in Espiritu Santo Bay every couple of years.  We have promised ourselves to explore the lower reaches of the Colorado River diversion canal soon.

San Bernard still a nice anchorage. I keep my boat in the city marina in Port Lavaca. Army Hole in Espiritu Santos is a nice place. Free docks, and good protection. Of course there is NOTHING there but solitude, and a 2 mile walk to the gulf.

CharlieJ:  I have attached a photo from 10 years ago when the mouth was still open and we were catching gynormous blue crabs.  Magical time.  We still go there and still catch some crabs but the bottom is getting silty.  Maybe we will run into each other out there?
