What is this?

This is under the cockpit with nothing attached to it.  Anyone know what it is?

And I was thinking it was whatamacallit!

It appears to be encapsulated in epoxy.  It sits in line with the center of the boat and is under the cockpit.  I haven't had the boat out of the water, so I don't know if it is thru the hull.

It looks to be made of bronze, and have a foil shape. Maybe the top end of the propshaft support bracket?
