I saw this on the 'book of faces' and I thought it was pretty clever.

I know that people are vocal about not linking these... I am not one of them.  The ST-2000 is a great tool when used correctly, and while I am not sure I would want to sacrifice the locker space for this I really like the idea...

Satisfaction is wanting what you already have.

Smart! Good idea.

The TP's are one of those products where it baffles me that they could spend just a little more time on design, and maybe a bit on manufacture, to have a truly outstanding product, but instead almost seem to be making them with an intentionally short lifespan.

This box idea kind of subverts their subversion. lol

What about mounting the TP inside the dry cabin and using a flex cable to run through the "wet" lockers to the tiller?  Control head stays out of the weather and lasts longer?

Norman

A push pull cable would introduce a lot of play in the system, producing poor response to heading changes, especially bad when sailing.

I cover the rod with a plastic bag, and it never gets water on it.  His solution for the problem is a good one.
