Here's wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and overall a great holiday season! It's in the teens overnight here for the past two nights, and 3 yet to come - we are getting a lot of winter for the South!!!

:D
Belated Merry Christmas and early Happy New Yew Years to all.

Enjoying a bitter cold visit on Long Island New York.   :(

Two sons, and their wives in good health.
Four grand children and two spouses in good health.
One great grandson, a month old, who eats, smiles, sleeps, and processes diapers in accordance of normal traditions.

At 88, and Shirley at 83, we are blessed to be able to travel pretty much when and where we wish.
This year, flew to Florida to visit Shirley's twin sister and family.
Drove to Missouri to visit her brother and family.
AMTRAK to NY, Long Island RR to son and his family.

A one week adventure with Covid, with only one really bad day sort of faded from memory among all the good times.

Wishing all a Happy New Year.

:)  Another great thing for the year ending soon.

My son has a friend with a Vans RV 10, and he flew to Brookhaven airport, and took me flying!  No valid medical, so no logable PIC time, but some very fun Pilot Flying time.  Train trip home on AMTRAK, no excitement there, just right on time at the home station, and a ride home with a good neighbor.

I have not been flying in a small plane since Covid, so that was a big deal.
We flew north to the Long Island sound, east to the Montauk Light, then west back to the airport.  I flew about a quarter hour, and loved the plane.
