I came across this on kijiji back home. Asking $3500 Canadian, about $2600 US
It struck me how in expensively a young (or old) lad could go cruising.
I owned one of these about 35yrs ago. They sail really well, are sporty looking, have a pop top for head room and I have to say, tremendous thought put into storage and function! So much so that the little 22 won “boat of the year” at the Paris boat show the year it was introduced. They brought them to Canada and actually manufactured here for a while. To make a statement, they sailed one over on her own bottom.
The dinette table goes into 3 different positions up, as well as drops to form a double.
The compass built into the bridge deck can also be seen inside the cabin. Awesome to watch for wind shifts or anchor dragging from below.
The galley has drawers, bins, nice SS sink and stove as well as plate and cup racks built in.
Proper transom cut out for the outboard so controls are right there for throttle, gears or that little help turning in reverse etc.
Bow has a built in anchor holder made for the factory supplied anchor.
I’m looking at this and thinking with a few mods, you could be underway for very little.
Not sure if Edel made it into the US market.

You can see the cockpit features. So easy to use the OB, no reaching over the stern. Nice combing pockets for binocs of camera. They came with pulpits and double life lines…
Pop top enclosure kept the weather and bugs out.
Check the storage in the stern facing shot. Lots of storage compartments.
Battery is under the step
Access to under cockpit floor for boat hooks and whisker pole storage too.
