I was a little too casual in planning a trip from Washington to Oriental, NC. Slightly embarassing, but I'd rather learn the lesson in and around the ICW than offshore.

Probably. Annie rings a bell. I talked to a bunch of people there; staff and fellow customers.

Annie solo's the Atlantic at 56yrs old. (Years ago)
Met Nev over there. Together they built a 46ft Wharram Cat
I think they ended up with 6 or 7 trans Atlantic crossings in total.
Swallowed the anchor a few years ago due to health after a lifetime aboard, she frequents the Bean to see who sailed in.
A true character.
