If all us sailfar members pick a common waypoint on our GPS think we could all have a mid ocean/river/pond rendevous

Especially if th GPS is linked to our autopilots and the hand crank blender is being tended by the first mate ;D

Might not be a good idea. I mean, who knows when small boat critical mass might be achieved, soley by accident? Has this ever been studied

We raft up that   one...    last...        boat ...             and...

KABOOM!!!

All that's left is a mushroom-shaped cloud of fiberglass dust, teak shavings, and bronze chunks falling at random into the sea...

Another Bermuda Triangle legend is born.

Our boats are small
so
The cloud shouldnt be too big

I would refer yawl to the "destroy the earth' site. Mess around with critical mass of these little boats and you never know what might happen... :o

Actually, I can see two boats on autopilot, heading for the same waypoint in opposite directions, with the captains and crew below...doing just that....crashing due to the same waypoints being used.  Maptech's charts have GPS waypoints on them, and a lot of the boaters, both power and sail, use them... I know I'm guilty of using them...but I'm rarely navigating towards them directly... especially since I prefer the Mark I eyeball and my compass, if the conditions permit.
