More LED's

I saw these LED bulb/fixtures referenced at a tech site, and thought I should post a link here.

They aren't cheap (I don't think C Crane sells anything that *is* cheap... ;) ), but they are another alternative. In particular, this "LED UNDER CABINET LIGHTING" light bar looks neat. 12V, too.



More affordable, and maybe even a better solution for small boats, their "DO IT YOURSELF LED STRIP LIGHTING" is much more affordable - $24.95 for a 5 cluster/4 LED's per cluster strip that looks like it could be wired straight in to a 12V system (it comes with an A/C adapter as a complete kit for about twice the price).



For those of you who are still having to live ashore, :P ;D ;) C Crane has LED bulbs which are made to fit your incandescent sockets. They'll save a ton of money, apparently, even more than compact fluorescents.

There's a lot of cool led lamps in there, I enjoyed looking through it.

There is a site I like and the prices is often much lower (a lot lower in some cases) than many other LED resellers.  It's at http://www.superbrightleds.com/.

There's a lot of DIY stuff here as well as "ready made" LED products and controllers.

Both sites are fun to look through and get some ideas percolating!  ;D

Here's another site that has LED-based lighting equipment. 

Another good source is Hart Supply Company, which specializes in Sign manufacturing supplies, among other things, and sells Starboard, ABS, Plexiglas, and some neat LED-based lighting fixtures. One advantage of the LED-lighting designed for signs is that most of it is fairly well sealed against the environment, as it is designed to be used in outdoor signs.
