Auspicious

Homemade crepes, crumbled Morningstar sausage, sauteed onions and peppers. A little plum sauce.

Grilled cheese sandwiches with Muenster and tomato.

Omelets with mushroom, onion, and peppers.

Lox and bagels with red onion and cream cheese.

English muffins with Canadian bacon, lettuce, and tomato.

Matzo brai with onions and salsa.

Tortillas and refried beans.

Yogurt and fruit.

We all have our own tastes, but I don't think Velveeta is really food.

James Baldwin, of Atom, gave me a no cook oatmeal recipe for use offshore. And nothing needs refrigeration

Laura didn't much care for it, but I liked it and have used it several times, particularly when it's HOT outside .

1/3 cup oatmeal (instant or rolled)
2 rounded tbsp nonfat milk powder
1 cup water (more or less)
1 sliced banana or other fruit or 3 tbsp raisons
1/2 tsp cinnamon
dash of grated nutmeg
2 rounded tbsp Grape Nuts-type cereal (or substitute homemade granola or broken crackers)

Mix oatmeal with milk powder, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add air temp water and soak for five minutes (soak longer if you use rolled oats or add heated water on a cold morning). Add fruit or raisons. Immediately before serving add Grape Nuts cereal or its substitute to improve texture.
