Off this saturay for a week with the "ole farts " trailersailing gang meeting at Spanish in the North Channel (lake huron) Fun bunch of lads...all on lil micro cruisers. It'll be a HOOT !!  Nothing more fun and stress free than sailing 750lb lil cabin boats (M15's) around. Simple sailing at its best. ;D

Posting pics on this site is a bit different. You will need a photo hosting site like photo bucket. Copy the link for the photo that you want. Put the cursor where you want it, click on the photo icon, now put the cursor in the middle - between the brackets, left click and past. Click on preview to see your work.

Easiest way to post photos to this site is to use Picasa, available at http://picasa.google.com and use it to upload your photos to a picasa web album.  Then you can link to the photos from here.

If you're on a Mac, use iPhoto with the Flickr.com plugin.

guys guys guys....this is 'techno phobe' here :-[...all this 'curser' and 'pull over' talk gets lost with me ???. I 'used' to be able to simply post pics by clicking 'additional options' below and add an attachment....that I can handle.....but months ago that feature left both my old and new computer.Kurt tried it himself....no go. I'll just e-mail ya my pics to post ;). Now...back to sailing. My priority today is getting 2 cans of repellent and finishing my screened in hatch before leaving. The North Channel is BEAUTIFUL....BUT at dusk the skitters and black flies will carry you off to deep water !!!!! ;)

I'm using photobucket. Just copy and paste the IMG code

Nothing is meaner than the Great South Bay Horsefly. They draw blood. Need at least two whacks to kill them

Just back...WOW !!  We put in @ Spanish marina..not busy, few boats, great facilities, super friendly staff and cheap (my kinda place). This whole erea is simply BEAUTIFUL !  The natural rock formations, multiple islands, bays and coves are breathtaking and endless...all with a low mountain backdrop. Fishing is great and there is an abundance of varied bird life....did I mention CLEAR-fresh water....if a tad on the cold side yet (reminds me of a certain Sienfeld episode). I highly recommend this cruising ground. The whole erea is great in general and the Benjamin Islands simply have to be experienced. This is NOT for novice navigators....granite is very unforgiving. Anyone with boat mobility should put this on their list of 'must see' ereas. I'll try shrinking a few pics on my other computer to post later in the week.

Hey, I was up at Thessalon two weeks ago, but I took a left and went up to Chapleau.

This might be a nice lake to sail on:

Lake Missinaibi, Ontario

The northland is very interesting and remote. Lots of bear. The bear don't seem to be too scared of humans. I was pretty scared of the bear.
