Free (sorta) dry goods containers

You know how hard it is sometimes to find that just-the-right-shaped plastic storage container?

I found out that Maxwell House coffee is giving out free ones.*

* (with purchase of coffee inside... ;D).

They are using a large plastic container (34 oz) that is mostly square-shaped (rounded corners) and has a handle molded into one corner. It has a large diameter, thick plastic lid that fits tight ("Flavor Lock canister"). It is basically a cube that stands about 6.5" tall, and 6" wide - the fairly regular shape of the container makes for good stacking/space usage. I've begun using them for things like Bisquick and pasta, I'll let you know how that goes long-term. ;)

I think they might also be useful for storing things like SS fasteners, electrical crimps, shackles - small hardware. To keep things sorted and organized, I'll try several small fabric bags, colored, each color assigned a rough function (Blue for electric, Red for fasteners, etc), with the related hardware pieces inside being sorted into clear plastic baggies. I've been using a tackle box with the plastic lure trays for the same thing, but that uses about twice as much space as is really needed.

We use a few of the plastic Peanut butter jars. They also work great and come in a lot of sizes. Nice and strong also.

I like peanut butter but not that well ;D  But we go through a lot of mayo er Miracle Whip - or whatever that creamy stuff is.  The jars for those are clear and semi rectangular.  I'm not as organized as CJ either, but I have a couple of shelves utilizing the squarish mayo jars.
