Zen

"Zen" is a Islander-29. My replacement for my learning boat, Ariel.

I am currently outfitting her (zen) for a passage to Japan at some future point.

here is my website on her development:

Hi French!

Will have to get used to calling you "Zen". :)

I looked at your site, and will check out the other Islander sites later. The new boat looks great! I bet it is much more comfortable for 2 aboard than the Ariel was. :)

I put my Magma grill in the same spot as you do - "Katie" doesn't have a stern pulpit yet, so the starboard stanchion works fine, and is a bit quicker to access from below when preparing food.

Glad to have you aboard sailFar. Sounds like it might be a good website especially for you, in lieu of your cross-Pacific cruise plans... :D

"French" works also  ;D

And yes, she is more comfortable for two, and now we can even take another couple out, like my sister in-law & husband from Japan and still be confortable... yeha, I'm lov'n it!

Amorous

Very nice.  I am in the process of a complete refit on my 1963 Columbia 29.

She is a good looking boat. I only wish I could keep mine that tidy. Did you create that site? I am looking to build one for my big trip so friends and family can keep an eye on me.
Cheers

Thanks D,

She is not quite so tidy now, with some of the work. However I like to keep her fairly "shipshape" also it helps when Lady Zen ( the admiral ) comes down to inspect. Helps her feel more at home.

yes, the site is my work in progress one of my several art projects I keep going.

It helps keep my skills up and give me a place to practice, for some of the sites I manage and a outlet for some photos. If you do not have web skills there are a lot of simple free packages out there to do it yourself.
