So much has happened... I had a cushy job and loads of time on my hands when I was bit by the sailing bug and picked up a Compac 19. I only owned that for about 18 months before I realized I wanted a bigger boat to make things more comfortable for my family of 5. I sold the Compac and started looking. In the meantime I took my offshore and cruising classes on a Hunter 37.5, sailed a friends Beneteau 32 on Lake Superior, and more recently took a cruising catamaran course. WOW those cats have room on them!!

I'm still looking for a new boat that can daysail 5 and sleep the same for a night. My job is gone and replaced with my own business that is busy busy busy! I'd like to keep the boat at a semi-local marina. Probably get rid of my 35' RV and just use the boat for getting away.

Looking right now at an Ericson 27, but would really be open to almost any boat under 40' that can sleep 5.

Being without a sailboat really sucks. I'm trying to avoid buying the first pretty little thang that comes along, but the temptation is just so high!!!!!

You will be rewarded for your wait.

The right boat will let you know... I hope that you are back on the water soon.  ;D
Satisfaction is wanting what you already have.

Ha ha ha... The problem is they ALL say 'buy me! buy me!"  :D

I hate being without a boat.

mine is on the trailer undergoing a major refit....I've missed alot of great fall sailing.

Don't buy a boat that says "buy me buy me"....

buy the one that says "You can't live without me"!

good luck on your search!

Me to. We sold our boat about two weeks ago and I find that I'm going through a bit of a withdrawl. In time Sandy and I will get our retirement boat (a stout sailfarer for sure) but what to do in the mean time? There is a Hobie for sale at the club and I was just thinking... well... I was just thinking ::).

Fair winds,

Pappy Jack

Well of course, gotta have some boat in the storm (or something like that) ;)

At least to be able to get out on the water.
