About small things;

 Borrowed from Zen's blog;

QuoteSometimes working working on the boat is all about Small Things. The small things add up to a list of big things. Then there is the list of big things which combined with the list of small things makes a whole lot of things. However sometimes it feels like one is making progress just dealing with some Small Things. Which is what this small post is about, small things, Chisai Koto.

Timely.  When I finish the day's task, I am going to head down to the boat and do a thing or two.  I had lamented not being able to spend the day as I had planned, but seeing the above post on Zen's blog has inspired me.

I like that. I've been stressing about prepping the trailer... but the trailer, once prepped will accomplish the boat haulout, which in turn will let me address some things on the hull, especially the bottom paint.
It's all one big connected web.

It may be the boat I stay with for the rest of my days, unless I retire to a cruising/liveaboard life.

I managed to get my old vent cowl back on the boat.

It was removed about 5 years ago, and given to a friend in California for his boat... he choose not to use it.

It is the original marium(sp) cowl vent that Pearson used....

I had to drill a 4 1/8" hole in the foredeck that I have spent so much time re-coring, fairing, and overcoating with extra glass... it was tough to do.  (I bet the pulg shows an extra 1/4" of glass)  ;D

Cut the hole, sealed the edges with epoxy, mounted the cowl vent... and

Met a Sailor looking for a boat.

  John is looking for something Sailfar sized... anyone know of any good deals in the Pensacola area let me know.... especially if they are nearby.

  Glad for those little things...   glad the best little things are not things.  ;D
