Barient Winches

After going out about ten times this summer, the time before the last I needed to do an on the water winch maintenance because it was jammed.  After successfully completing the mission (winch lube is great!) all was good until the last time and I noticed that the drum of the winch was wanting to come up about 1/8 to a 1/4 of an inch does anyone know what I may have done wrong?  Thank you ahead of time.  Marc

FWIW... sounds like you may have forgotten a snap ring or it didn't seat properly and has come loose.  I am not familiar with barient winches, but am familiar with forgetting or not seating snap rings properly  ;D
