Woke up to the sound of distant thunder....

Winds shifting from the west to the north, rain falls steadily.  I check my position and head back below to put on the coffee.  Georgetown is not crowded, but there are still a couple hundred boats.  I feel good that I antipated the shift and anchored up wind of the crowd.  I also made sure to hand set the anchor and dove it twice last night...  Assurance that allows me the comfort of benign ambivalence as the wind fills in and guests to NOAA's anticipated 30k.

While the coffee lazily perks, I open James Michner's "Carabbean" and pick up where I left off...  Coffee smells filling the cabin as the wind blows and the rain falls.

My little world is dry, it is comfortable, and secure....  The moment only interrupted by my picking up my Ipad to share it with my friends.....

Very jealous!! ;) I just sold my house and am building a cruising boat but I found an IP 31 I had to make an offer on, just to get out there now. They turned me down flat so I guess it will be a while for me yet. Have fun, I hope too some day :D
