Any sail boat regardless of size is a potential world cruiser, but a power boat is nothing more than a big expense at the next fuel dock

CJ....have ya dried out yet???

Yep. Boat is in slip in Punta Gorda. Plan to wander around town for a few days then sail Charlotte Harbor for a while.

Visited friends yesterday. Punta Gorda is a favorite town of mine.

Necessity sits at anchor in the small lagoon just in the entrance to Pelican Bay
Cayo Costa state park. Made it in JUST before a thunderstorm. Winds only about 20 and not a lot of rain where I am but a half mile away got nasty. Beach 125 feet to windward gave great protection from seas

Probably not gonna see a moon tonight

Place is totally deserted and only three cruisers at anchor in the main anchorage. Should be a very quiet night. I'm anchored about 200 feet from where I anchored Tehani in Oct, '11.

Plan to wander around here for a few days. Another of my favorite spots

Necessity is back on her trailer. We are currently in Bradenton, Fl visiting friends. Tomorrow AM we'll begin wending our way slowly back to Texas, but the sailing part of the trip is done.

Had originally planned to stay out another month, but Tehani is calling me home :D
