I'm pretty good at finding things online - but after a couple of hours trying to find written details or pics about how to take one of these apart and put it back together, without breaking it, I still hadn't found anything. Owners manuals and an exploded parts view are easy to find.
So - my first "How To" - "kind of" as Kevin Smith would say.
I bought a Hyspeed 510 for $25 at a swap meet. Guy said it only worked in one direction for awhile and then it jammed. He didn't want to mess with it. I figured $25 was OK to risk, given that a new version, shipped from England, would cost ~ $1400.
Took it apart, cleaned it, ordered new parts, aaaaaand it works. Or at least it does sitting on the foredeck with no load on it.  ;D

The hardest part of disassembly is figuring out how, because you can't see much when everything is covered in oil, grease, salt and rust. Maybe that's why it "only worked in one direction....". That, and one of the master links for the chain had come off.
It's really straightforward, actually. The sprockets unscrew off the shaft. The clutch cone has a 1/4" roll pin that needs to be driven out. The bushings get driven out. The chains have master links at the ends.
Reassembly can be a bit "fiddly". Sort of like some of us here are a bit "independent".  ;D
Put the new bushings in, put the shaft with sprockets in, attach the chains to the cam, loop the chains over the sprockets, carefully place the new washers, rollers and pins in (the fiddly bit), put the lever arm through the cam, tighten cam locking screw, put on cover, tap new roll pin through clutch cone, etc.

Pics or it didn't happen:
And the first pic here of the case is after the first cleaning.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  -Mark Twain

Thanks for taking the pictures!

I had not seen the insides, but have used a few...  Good incentive to keep them lubed!  ;D
