Looking a lot better, David, more like the other in mast furled sails I have seen.

The two part tackle on the outhaul is a winner! :)  I think I have seen 4 part, and the 40+ foot Benneteau seemed to have a power operated system, in and out.  High price paid for such luxory, tho. :(

Really looking forward to when the issues work out and you are sailing again.  Shake out the problems before setting out, and have a great trip. ;D  I usually do at least a 50 mile or 1 day shakedown on any new or unused system on my boat.  Just did such a trip a few weeks ago on a new self tending jib, did not work as expected, now revised, waiting for a new test sail.

Norman,
It will be quite awhile before this boat goes sailing again. I have to rebuild the motor and transmission. Then we will decide if we will try again next spring or sell her.

Congrats, David, on solving the mainsail issue.
Step by step will get you there.
