PNW harbor entrances lookin' sketchy :)

Saw this video of a "sneaker wave" at the south side of Coos Bay (filmed at jetty base), and noticed in the background all the breaking waves rolling in through the entrance. Check out the NOAA Chart - it is 25-30+ feet deep there where the waves are breaking.

Them is some big 'uns, you wouldn't want to try to make it in when it was like that, not in one of our pokey little boats. :)

Yes, the sea state around here can be rather... interesting at times.
Combined seas 25+ feet w/breakers on the Columbia bar a few days ago.
