KRUSE'N  is anchored.

Sailing Books:

Sailing Theory and Practice
   Marchaj, C. A.
One of the best sources of the finer points of sail trim that I have found, from dinghy, to large cruising size.

Precision Cruising
   Chase, Arthur F.
A lesser work, cruising oriented, his real bottom line is, get up early, and under sail, to get the best anchoring spots tonight.

The Sailmakers Apprentice
Marino, Emiliano
Another classic, sail making for the amature, with a lot of related skills.

Sensible Cruising, Thoreau Approach
   Casey and Holder
A fair read, but not much really useful guidance for sailing simply.

Shackleton's Forgotten Men
   Bickel, Lennard
The story of Shackleton's supply team, who put food and other necessities in place for trans Antarctic exploration.  You have not read about this, and it was a bigger deal than the Shackleton self rescue.

The Complete Cruiser
   Herreshoff, L. Francis
Neat little book on sailing and cruising on quite small craft.  He sailed on one, and described others that he (probably fictionally) met and visited aboard.

Orions Gold – Fiction
   Fetter, Franklin C. Jr.
The note inside the cover makes this one hard to let go, but I will have less than half the space for books that I have now.  The author gave the book to Jim, and noted that Jim would recognize 2 of the fictional characters.  Jim assured me that he had no doubts who those people were, and they were just as depicted.  Jim gave the book to me because there was some sailing in it.  "Snort" will never forget Jim. Long story.

My Old Man and the Sea
   Hays, David and Daniel
A well to do Dad with a very dysfunctional relationship with his son.  They agree to modify a sailboat, provision it, and sail around Cape Horn.  They wrote the book from their logs, and obviously, they made it.  Pretty good read, but continuously aware that they had no money problems.

Depending on the weight of the book, and distance to your house, postage will likely be between $5 and $10 per book.

This is not exactly an auction.  Send me an even dollar offer per book and the name(s) of the books you want.
Offers on more than one book increases the likely hood of acceptance.

You will be notified by email the books are on the way, and when they arrive, send me a check for offer plus actual postage or other shipping cost.

My email is wtd555@aol.com

Books will be edited off the list as sold.

Time is important, as I am moving soon, unsold will go to Bacon Sails consignment store.

4 books have been removed so far.

Sailing Books:

Sailing Theory and Practice
   Marchaj, C. A.

Precision Cruising
   Chase, Arthur F.
A lesser work, cruising oriented, his real bottom line is, get up early, and under sail, to get the best anchoring spots tonight.

Cruising in interesting northern waters, good crew, and clear explanations of how and why various techniques are used.

Sensible Cruising, Thoreau Approach
   Casey and Holder
A fair read, but not much really useful guidance for sailing simply.  They do have fun sailing, though.
