Just finished Tania Aebi's book, it was very entertaining, makes you want
to do some bluewater cruising.

For those of you who don't know her story. Her father buys her a
boat and at the age of 18 circumnavigates the globe alone.

I'm now moving on to 'How to sail around the world' by Hal Roth.
One can dream!  ;)

Very entertaining book.  Actually makes you think that anyone can sail around the world.

This was the first of my small boat voyaging books, followed immediately by Trekka Round the World (I think that is the title) by John Guzzwell.  Changed my whole boating philosophy.

Wow,

I just ordered Tania Aebi's 'Maiden Voyage' from Amazon, and it came in today.   ;D

Look forward to reading it myself.

The amazing part is how little real sailing experience Tania had prior to setting off.  She was very lucky and very dependent on the kindness of strangers in many ways.  Her on-going battle with the diesel aboard Varuna is pretty funny as the story goes along.... she's without the use of an engine for most of her time sailing in fact.
