Sitting here working at my shed office across the street from the marina, it's a mild day so I have the door open. About 15 minutes ago, I heard an electrical transformer somewhere over in town a mile or two away blow up...
Then about 5 minutes ago - BLAM! My building shook, and I jumped up because whatever it was, was close, and loud enough that it might be of immediate concern...
Was it..
A propane tank on a boat at the marina?
Airplane crash?
A car exploding out on the highway?
A terrorist attack?
None of the above...
When was the last time you were startled at work - by cannon fire from a tall ship?
I'm sure it has happened to y'all a bunch of time, but today was my first time ever... :D
She's just pulled in to the marina, so I don't know who she is yet, but here's a pic from a good ways away, taken with my phone...

Pirates!!
I remember my first time...
... IIRC, it was exciting, confusing, and I did not know what the heck was going on either....

Nice shot CapnK!
Oh she's a looker! Nice shot!
Must make the morning coffee taste better by an order of magnitude.
Looks like Lynx. If so, we crossed paths briefly in Mystic.
