Not exactly, but it is being worked on. I am having to go through *everything* that was on the site in order to pull all the content out that was injected by the black hats. It takes a while to sift through 5+ years of data. When I am done with that, it will be back up, with a completely new hosting company.

4th! ;D Believe me, no one is more ready for the process to be done than I am!

But I'm still working on it, inbetween things that pay. Almost have the DB's cleaned. When I get that done, I am going to move it lock, stock, and barrel to a new server, prior to the "re-opening".

With your knowledge base,  you are no rookie.   Any sailor who wants to know about sailing and com-pac sailboats, will glad to to know where to contact you.  More than glad to have you aboard. ;D

Sir you are too kind. skip. It's gonna take me a bit to restart, as the old headers for 14, 16, 19, 23, 27 and 35 foot Com-Pac Yachts have been superseeded by other strange to me headers. I'll figure it out. As right now I dealing with The FordBarn, a Ford Model "A" site.

Hiya Skip! Good to sea ya!

There's a reason for the "unusual" and/or missing headers - this is not the Com-Pac site! lol ;)

It does use the same software, so it *looks* a lot like the Com-Pac forum. But the subject matter here is different - less about the kind of boat, moreso about using it... whatever it is. :)

The CPYOA site will be back up soon, at least the Forum part to start with. I actually moved the mostly-cleaned database to the new server yesterday/last night, and have a copy of the CPYOA Forum running there now. (No, I ain't telling where... :) ) I still have work to do with it, finish cleaning things up, and make some mods and enhancements and changes.

It's taken a while and a lot of drudgery to get to this point, but I have been doing this in the time when I am not working on client websites and such - the things that pay the bills, ya know... I'll let y'all know when the forum is ready for use again, I am shooting for this time next week.

In the meanwhile, enjoy sailFar! There are a *lot* of great people here. :)

Hi Skip,
Alot of us CP people have come over to this site. I was using both when the site went down. It is a different format but same attitude.

Hi Roland -

Well, I'd recommend that you reexamine this "friendship" you have, since the person is telling you lies that they are making up from thin cloth about someone they don't even know, much less have ever met. That's pretty sad, isn't it?  ::) ??? Might not be someone you should place any sort of trust in, ya know?

Some fella named Scott - and I'm not saying these are the same person - called me last week and left a message asking about it. I called back and left him a message telling him that I thought I'd have at least the forum up by this weekend. He never called back or otherwise replied. So far that is going as planned, but I guess he didn't pass the word on. I'll post here when it is.

to answer your question, the guy isnt really a friend per se just a guy who posted on the compac site last year. thats why i asked you, figured i would get the true skinny from the horses mouth. and as always i and others appreciate your efforts. if i cant learn and be entertained by sailors whats left----surely not tv   thanks again cap.

Sorry I couldn't get it back up on the weekend, but I was feeling like dooky thanks to a stomach virus my brother considerately passed on to me while we were in Georgia...  ::) I owe him one. Big time... :o

Anyway - the CPYOA Forum is up and running on the new server, if all seems well with it as people log back in, I'll go ahead with the site domain transfer. Link to the new address is on the CPYOA homepage (http://com-pacowners.com).
