Title: Dreams that drive me
Post by: Sunset on September 21, 2012, 12:19:55 AM
A person must have dreams.
With no dreams you will die, first in mind and then in spirit.
Then the body die's.
What must always be remembered about dreams is, some dreams are best left as dreams.
But dreams drive the soul even if their never realized.
We put much hope in our dreams.
Most of the time we are let down when they come true.
WHY? Because they are dreams, not reality.
Dreams are so much different than reality.
Dreams don't have to work in the context of reality.
Reality has dollar and cents, time and situations as rulers. Dreams don't care about all these. They just sooth the mind and spirit.
All is well in dreams, because the facts of life don't matter.
I will make an effort to always Dream!
Facts will always be there, but I will not let them kill the dreams and me!
My Dream is to sail a boat that I built.
To watch sunsets, storms, grey skies, rough and calm sea's with the love of my life.
To catch lobster, to net shrimp, and catch all sorts of fish.
To lay on deck all day, in the God's given sun.
To hold my mate close and run my fingers through her hair while thinking of the day we just spent together, whether rough or calm.
To relish in the fact that we made it through a storm or a boring day.
To never regret moving to a boat, where things are not as predictable as on land.
To except hardships as a challenge and a pleasure.
To see the ocean's for a day or weeks at a time with nothing but water and my first
mate.
To feel the wind, spray and pure freedom in my face.
BUT, mostly to Dream the dreams and the heck with reality!

PS. Rum and Dreams inspired this, Please forgive me!
