Those are some awesome paintings.  I have a goal (has been on the back burner for many years) to take up maritime painting.  Anyway,  I noticed on the same web site:  Hypnotizing Translucent Waves In 19th Century Russian Paintings Capture The Raw Power Of The Sea.  Wow - these paintings are equally amazing!
