Title: My son had a new first experience
Post by: Michael Homsany on May 27, 2012, 04:49:45 PM
Apologies, but as an older, but still first-time father, I tend to dote on him.

At age 4 years, 4 months, he had a new experience last week, he saw his first traffic sign!

The sign:

This was in a private, ex-pat community, mostly Americans, who I think need to have rules to make them feel more like they are 'home'! :-)

LOL, I think that sign needs a "SailFar" sticker slapped on it   :)

Gee, it looks like I just may get a chance to do that next year.  ;D

Looking forward to meeting you and your family Michael.

Thanks for the kind words Tim, it'll be nice to meet up in person.

There are traffic signs, lights, crosswalks, etc. in Fiji, but the nearest ones are in Labasa, on the north side of this island, about 1-1/2 hours away by car/bus.  We've never taken him up there (we don't like cities), and he's read about signs and lights in books, but never saw one, and got quite excited when he did, so he took a picture of it.
