Title: powerboatFar - the "Gator 3"
Post by: CapnK on July 26, 2007, 09:23:34 AM
This boat showed up in our marina last night, enroute from Savannah to Nova Scotia, more or less. It's like a stinkpot version of our sailFar craft. :D She's the "Gator 3", and here are a couple of links to newspaper stories about her and her capt/crew.

Paul Fisher is the older fellow, and the other, Michael, is his grandson.

Rock on, old man!

I prefer sail; but I will not hold that against him.  It's the adventure that counts.  What the heck, I'd like to do something like this is a steam powered boat, ala African Queen.  It would make a good story!

This must be the first inflatable with radar.

I've got to say Godspeed to these gents.  This is really cool.

That they are both smiling says it all.
