Title: Advice for chartering in Croatia?
Post by: captxtina on June 08, 2012, 07:16:05 AM
We're chartering a boat in Croatia at the end of the summer. Any advice?

-- good charter companies to connect with?
-- where to go along the Croatian coast (good anchorages/marinas)? where to stay away from?
-- is late August/early Sept okay time to sail -- weatherwise? what can we expect in terms of conditions?
-- what to watch out for
-- is it okay to charter a boat there if we don't speak the language?

Anything else on the topic is appreciated.
thanks!

Sorry I can't answer your questions. We Couchsurfed with a guy in Seattle last summer who then left to charter a boat in Croatia. If you're on Couchsurfing, you could shoot him a message about it and I'm sure he would be happy to relate his experience. Let me know if you want his info.

A swedish sailor friend of mine has a house in Croatia, if it's still needed let me know and I can contact him, if you like?
