Title: C dory to Bahamas
Post by: Frank on January 15, 2011, 10:20:56 AM
Made it  ;D   Man...I'm not a power boat guy. This was the fastest crossing I have made time wise but the longest mentally. No sails, no keel and no selfdraining cockpit made for a tense 3 1/2 hours. The blue/green waters of the Bahama Banks never looked so good! This will be a good/dry boat for scooting into town for supplies and now that its here I'm sure I'll enjoy it....but a sailor is a sailor is a sailor  ;)

Glad you made it!

I wish I had gotten in touch with you, I stopped and visited a friend in Vero Beach on my way back up from the keys... I might have caught you before you crossed.

What did you end up having to do to the fuel system>?  Protective measures in place now?

It's a 22ft "angler" model. Nice lil wheel house..no more getting soaked going to town. The whole fuel system was shot from sitting for years with ethanol fuel that was not stabalized. New pump, injectors etc and it runs great. Sure is nice to be back here. "island time' is great.
