Post by: tafelice on February 24, 2007, 01:51:30 PM
Crew Needed - Jacksonville FL to Tampa.  I am going down the ICW in a 30' center cockpit S2.  I am an experienced dinghy sailor but not much experience cruising.  Really need an experienced person who would like to make the trip.  Food on board is included.  Plenty of room.  Please reply directly to my email TAFELICE at YAHOO dot COM.  Leave your experiences and phone number.  Leaving in a few days.

I don't remember, If you draw less than 5 feet and have a mast less than 50 feet you can go through the Okeechobee Waterway. Really a very easy trip. Just plan your anchorages for a 4 hr motor. Call ahead for dock space. Have a stern anchor for the waterway if you cannot find a dock. Be ready for bugs at night.

Sounds like a fun trip. I hope that you get somebody. Sorry I cannot help you.
