Title: Panama Canal Fiasco
Post by: Owly055 on June 23, 2016, 09:31:46 PM
Today's New York Times had a pretty comprehensive article on the new larger Panama Canal locks, an incredible fiasco in true banana republic style.  It makes interesting reading.

Excellent article, tks for the pointer.

Having spent many years in Panama, and planning to return, the whole situation is simply business as usual in the Republic. The canal didn't go down as predicted after the transfer of the Canal Authority from US to Panama, and I believe she will muddle through this crisis as well.

You're not in Kansas anymore Dorthy
