Title: The Golden Gate and bay
Post by: j d on October 03, 2009, 12:42:29 AM
I am bringing my 27 footer up from Morro Bay to Antioch soon. the 1st half of October. I plan on a stop at half moon bay to time my entrance at the gate. I've not sailed the bay before. Any advice on the trip to Antioch and where is good to stop for a rest in the north bay? Any local help appreciated.

Be very mindful of Fleetweek Oct.8-13, not something you want to come upon unexpectedly.

I do not have a lot of experience in the upper delta but if you watch the tides I am sure you will be fine. Carquinez can get a little rough if the wind is right.

I have used Marina Bay Yacht Harbor which is a nice place.
