What's your favorite source for weather information?
What's the worst?
Do you have any equipment on board such as barometer?
Oded Kishony
I'm strictly inland/coastal right now, so I don't use a lot of offshore resources, but here's my list:
NOAA (http://weather.noaa.gov) (you'll notice the text of these reports is basically what your local weatherman reads on the air)
National Hurricane Center (http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/) for hurricane info, including sat images, predicted tracks, etc.
NOAA Marina Coastal (http://www.nws.noaa.gov/om/marine/zone/usamz.htm) for coastal data
Weather Underground (http://www.wunderground.com/radar/map.asp) for near real time NexRad radar
NOAA Weather Maps (http://www.srh.noaa.gov/ffc/html/mapslast.shtml) for the big USA picture
Coast Pilot, T-Tables (http://chartmaker.ncd.noaa.gov/NSD/coastpilot.htm) for general trends when planning for a new area.
and of course, WX stations on my hand held VHF, which has an 'alert' option also.
I have an altimeter from my mt. climbing days that I sometimes use a barameter, and of course, I use the appropriately-named-by-CapnK 'Mark 1 eyeball.'
Thanks Caapt S a few sources I didn't know about.

Oh, and of course;

I believe I read about someone doing a crossing with just a SW radio receiver and a Spot Satellite Messenger and Herb (mentioned above) giving him tailored weather/navigation advice. Neat low cost option (compared to a HF/SSB transceiver.)
