Title: Cruisair carry on a/c

 Now that I have decided my Hunter 27 will get me where I want to go and back, I would like to keep it cool at night, Anybody ever had a carry on ac to deal with and what are the results, I am looking for a 7000 btu unit, just need info if they are anygood, I can't stand those ac that very little air comes out, What do you about them

They work ok.  They are not (IMHO) worth the price of admission, unless you can find one used and cheap (fat chance this time of year).

  The advantage of the Carry on is that you use the foredeck hatch instead of the companionway.  Climbing over an AC in the hatch is a pain.

  Lugging the heavy carry on back and forth from the foredeck is no small task, you can sail with it in place... but tacking the Genoa can be tricky (not recommended, but if it gets you out of the slip...)

  I think you ought to look at this thread.  John has got the better idea.
