I wasn't sure if I should post this under tips or in this section, so mods feel free to move it to a better place if you wish.
I ran across a website where you can create an electronic float plan for free. The idea is it will send email alerts to those on your list if you don't close the plan before your scheduled return time.
Probably not a replacement for a paper version, but might be a useful supplement.
I'm not affiliated with the site in any fashion, but thought it might be useful as an additional safety measure.
