Title: Gerry Hutchins of Compac Yachts passed on
Post by: Frank on February 15, 2025, 06:17:57 AM
Sad to report Gerry Hutchins of Compac Yachts passed on.
His father started the business 53 years ago.
He and his brother Richard have run it as a family business since.
Gerry was a good man and was both honest and fair to work with.
A sad time for those that knew him.

I met him several times at the Chicago Strictly Sailboat show. Very easy person to talk with. He loved hearing about owners journeys and modifications to their boats.

Really sad to hear this. What they've done with their company, though, is a great legacy, and they'll be remembered for that long after crossing the bar.

Fair winds, Gerry!
