I plan on gong to the coast in the next couple of weeks and look a several boats. I have my eye on and 31 footer and on a 30 foot the 31 has just had a major up date then the owner had some medical problem that will keep him from sailing. The 30 footer is a Catalina I have sailed on one on the lake here and it seems to be a bit of a hand full the way it is rigged. But I think the guy that owns it could make it a lot easier to handle.
Any way my question is what do you think of the Catalina for a coastal boat?
the 31 is a Bombay clipper and might be more of a good deal than the cat. any thoughts on the Bombay clipper?any input will help.
