Title: Maine Boat Builders Show
Post by: Oldrig on March 12, 2011, 12:49:46 PM
Hey Northeast Sailfarers:

Dan (Adriftatsea) and I will be making our annual pilgrimage to the Maine Boat Builders Show in Portland on Friday, March 18. I'll be volunteering at the booth for Good Old Boat magazine from 2 until 4 p.m. Stop by if you're planning to be in Portland.

Best,

--Joe
PS There's still snow in the back yard, but we've got one snow crocus showing its lovely head on the front lawn. That's a good sign!

Joe, I know that this is short notice, but I'd be glad to meet you and Dan-- perhaps I could meet you for a cup of coffee in say, Saco or Biddeford, ME at a place near the I-95 Exit, when you are on your way back, if that would be convenient?

I'll pm you with contact info, if you receive this post in time...

-Jim

Sorry, Jim. I didn't get your e-mail in time.

Maybe next year.

We had a great time, as usual.

Because I was volunteering at the "Good Old Boat" booth, I had a chance to meet Karen and Jerry, the magazine's owners and founders, and I got to talk with many more sailors than I usually did.

This is my eighth or ninth visit to the show.

Maybe next year.
