Went shooting bows and arrows with a buddy the other day...a traditional recurve and a beautiful thing called a 'horse bow'...had a LOT of fun. I hadn't touched a bow in years, but just like riding a bicycle. Query: are they legal to possess aboard while abroad? Any island kingdoms worried about an invasion from Robin Hood and his Merry Mariners? *nyuk nyuk*
I make longbows for a living. (bows.net) I've shipped them to the Bahamas, Bermuda, and the US Virgins with no problems. However; I had an order returned by the British Virgin Islands, because they considered it a weapon. It was a small childs archery set.
I doubt many customs agents would look at a bow as a threat. Bowfishing is great sport, and can produce lots of fish in certain conditions.
Thanx...you do beautiful work. I've never gone fishing with a bow, but as a enthusiastic gig thrower I'm sure I would take to it right away.
I wonder if they would get confiscated in the BVI or Mexico?
