Title: Baba 30
Post by: Captain Smollett on December 24, 2006, 01:00:01 AM
Per Doug's comments on the chat last Tuesday, I took a gander at some Baba 30 websites and listings on Yachtworld.  They are nice looking boats, and I do like cutter rigs.  Interesting canoe stern, too.

I have to admit, they seem a bit pricey, though.  Cheapest I saw was $45,000.

Anyone here sail on one?

I met a great couple that have owned one for over 15yrs.They love it ,say it has great motion but report it is no speedster.I was on/in it...beautiful wood interior as well as cockpit details.Nice cruiser. They went searching for an older one at the time as they originally came with a wooden mast (70's) and they wanted that 'look'. When I met them, they were hauled out doing a bottom job and had the mast off stripping/varnishing it.
