Title: Fred Bickum, S/V 'Fenix' - CD28
Post by: CapnK on May 13, 2008, 09:08:53 PM
Very interesting website, a heavily modified Cape Dory 28 that is currently circumnavigating.

A lot of good ideas for rebuilders/fixer-uppers. One I like a lot is how he modified his stanchion bases to accept full-length wooden bulwarks.

Man what a great boat, and a great website!

Would love to hear more from him.  Really like what he did with the interior, the rig and that self steering.

As he is sailing a sister ship, though modified as mentioned, I have been watching his voyage for some time now.   I only regret that CapnK beat me to bringing it to this forum.   Shoulda thought of that!   :oP
