Grog to ya for that Joe. :)
WOW, I would have never have thought.
Amazing. Great tip. Thanks!
Kind of makes sense, if you think about it...why should they make a different size battery when they have to crank out AA batteries by the bucket load anyways??
great, will have to pick up a 6 volt soon
BATTERY HACK !!!!!!! :o ::) :P

It's a fake! Don't waste your $$$$. There are a LOT of new videos out on YouTube faking stuff to make you look dumb.
To bad, it sure looked like a good thing!

lol,
Greg, that was a good catch. I have to admit, I was duped too. I really don't see any reason that they could not mfg a 6v battery with 8 banks of 4 aa size batteries... but it is sad that I was duped since I HAVE cut them open BEFORE... ::)
I recall the one I cut into as a kid looking just like this one pictured here (http://www.theodoregray.com/PeriodicTable/Stories/006.2/index.html);

OTOH, I was once looking for an 'a' cell battery, (or was it a 'b'?) that is basically a longer 'c' cell. I might have found it in a lantern battery... [/size]

Yep I messed up. After researching this there are 4 cells in a 6V battery which resemble D Cell batteries only a bit longer. ::)
darn... knew it was too good to be true. :(
got me
