Lincoln Park is the NW cove, same as where I'd built the cottage years ago.
I'm currently anchored in the next bay SE that faces SW
That boat is a Tanzer 31.
Way bigger than Deja Vu (24)  but similar profile for sure! Typical 80s thing....
Hope your well Capt K!

So I went to Google Maps and pulled up Nunjack, looked at the photos there (someone named it "Lincoln Park"), and this one was one of them. Almost a sistership to "Deja Vu"...?

I'll join that group this July. Who'da thunk it?

Have you been up Nunjack way, seen the house you built lately?

Nothing easier than getting cruisers together for a pot luck with music.
A good friend that lived aboard for decades, swallowed the anchor several years ago and purchased a home on Green Turtle.
Several times per year he hosts a wonderful potluck.
Throw in a few talented musicians, as well as some amazing cooks and you have the recipe for a fun night.
Everyone in the picture are off of their sailboat other than the host.
Another note is that no one in the picture is under 60.
But we all know how to have fun

Franks favorite words. :D

I just noticed that there was a '4-per-post' image limit. Meh. Changed it to 8. :)

Doghouse overhead/liner cut away, been bogging the worst of the uncertainties found behind, then laminating 1/2" Divinycell future-core to the insides. Plus a surpise pic, and the Shakespeare mast...

It's a good boat. Quite liveable. Reasonably comfortable. Easy and safe to move about above and below deck. Slow in light air, and not exactly quick to manuever. Shallow draft is great in the Chesapeake. A full keel means I never really worry about hitting a crab pot. If I can't have a head next to the companionway, all the way in the bow is pretty good. I'm not a huge fan of v-berths in small boats (I'm not as spry as I used to be), and it seems like a good place for a head. It is a little bouncy underway, though, which is less than ideal. And if I store wet gear there it means dragging it through the saloon first, right by all the bunks I desperately want to keep dry.

But this thread is about Frank's girlfriend. Perhaps I'll revisit the strengths and weaknesses of my Bayfield 29, now that I've had a dozen (probably more...it's been awhile) years with her in another thread sometime soon. I've got a lot of thoughts.

No worries to talk about your gal here 😄
You should do a thread with pictures and your ideas etc...
The Reno's and upgrades as they come...
I've always had a soft spot for the Bayfield 29
Traditional look, full keel, shallow draft and open interior...
Great boat to cruise on!

Yes, great boat! Personally, I love the shallow draft! So important in the keys or Bahamas! Awesome cruiser
